A9 project is began as an exhibition in 2006, exploring the path for art into the emerging small-screened portable platforms. It explored the possibilities for artists working with smaller portable screens which were beginning to emerge with the development of early smartphones. It sought to challenge artists to work with smaller but more personal and intimate formats which were to become more and more ubiquitous.
Since the inaugural exhibition, A9 project has evolved into a collaborative effort between Pamela Lee Brenner and Johannes Muljana, both digital artists with backgrounds in graphic, web and set design, as well as the more traditional forms of painting and sculpture. Both artists have collaborated in projects with other artists as well as with each other in developing installation, interactive and experimental works over the last ten years.
This website is a work in progress of combining passion in exploring new, experimental media and the more traditional forms.
